How to convert HEIC to JPG

    1. Add your HEIC photos. Drop them onto the box or choose them from your phone, tablet or computer. HEIF files work too.
    2. Keep JPG selected. JPG is already chosen. The quality slider defaults to 90%, a good balance of detail and file size.
    3. Convert and save. Click Convert images, then save each JPG or download everything as a ZIP.

Why do iPhone photos come out as HEIC?

Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos in HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) by default, because it keeps good quality at a smaller file size. The catch is compatibility: many websites, job portals, ad platforms and older programs only accept JPG. Converting to JPG fixes that.

Can I make my iPhone save JPG in future?

Yes. On an iPhone, open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos will be saved as JPG. Photos you have already taken stay HEIC, so you can convert them here.

    What you should know

The converter exports a single still image. Live Photo motion, image sequences and some HDR data are not kept, and camera metadata may not be preserved. Transparent areas, which are rare in photos, are filled with white because JPG has no transparency.

    FAQ

    HEIC to JPG FAQ

How do I convert HEIC to JPG?

Add your HEIC photos to the converter on this page, keep JPG selected and click Convert images. Then save the files or download them as a ZIP.

Is it safe to convert my photos here?

Your photos are converted in your browser and are not uploaded to a server, so they stay on your device. Closing the page clears the working list.

Can I convert many HEIC files at once?

Yes, up to 20 photos at a time, with a ZIP download for the batch.

Will the JPG look the same as the HEIC?

Very close at the default 90% quality. JPG is a lossy format, so a lower quality setting gives a smaller file with less detail.

Why does my HEIC file not convert?

A few newer or unusual HEIF variants cannot be decoded in the browser. Try another photo, or export it as JPG from the Photos app on your device.
