How to convert PNG to JPG
- Add your PNG images. Drop them onto the box or choose them from your device.
- Keep JPG selected. Use the quality slider: 80 to 90% gives small files that still look good.
- Convert and save. Click Convert images, then save each JPG or download a ZIP.
Why convert PNG to JPG?
A PNG screenshot or photo can be several megabytes. The same image as JPG is often a fraction of that size, which helps when an upload form has a size limit, when you email images, or when you want a faster page.
Transparent backgrounds turn white
JPG cannot store transparency. The converter fills transparent areas with white. If you need transparency, keep the PNG or convert to WebP.
When to keep PNG
Keep PNG for logos, icons and text-heavy graphics, where JPG compression can leave fuzzy edges. JPG is the better pick for photos.

Will the JPG be smaller?
For photos, usually yes, often by a large margin. For simple graphics the difference can be small.
What happens to a transparent PNG?
The transparent areas become white in the JPG.
Can I shrink the dimensions too?
