Ads in AI Answers: ChatGPT Cards, Bing Test, Brandlight

Three updates on advertising inside AI answers: ChatGPT Ads is rolling out a wider standard desktop ad card that reuses existing creative; a practitioner spotted a sponsored result inside a Bing AI Overview, which is an observed test Microsoft has not confirmed broadly; and Brandlight launched an AI Ads capability for planning paid placements in AI conversations, through an early-customer programme. Bing Splits AI Training and AI Answer Controls: What to Do

Microsoft announced on 30 October 2026 that site owners will be able to set independent AI-training and AI-grounding preferences, including a limited-grounding option for Microsoft-operated experiences. X Lead Gen Ads Now Open to All Advertisers: Should You Test?

X confirmed on 30 October 2026 that its native Lead Gen Ads are now generally available globally, including to SMBs and self-serve buyers. A Leads objective lets advertisers capture enquiries without a landing-page redirect, with export or CRM handoff from Leads Center, and standard form fields adapt to the viewer's language.
